Living the good life means something different to everyone.

Ever dream of moving to Italy and living among the rolling hills of Italy or on a mountain’s edge

overlooking the Amalfi Coast?

I have always dreamed of living ‘la dolce vita’ ‘the good life’. Many including myself always thought you needed to move abroad to get that ‘good life’ feeling but you can attain that feeling right where you are.

Who am I?

First off thank you for visiting Everyday The Good Life and I hope you find value in this website. Even if one thing connects with you then I consider that success. My name is Gloria Mattia and I started this site because as I am reaching a milestone of turning 50 years old I have come to learn what matters in life and the things to value.

I grew up in a small town in Ontario Canada and one of three daughters of Italian descendants who immigrated to Canada in the 1960’s. Growing up we learned to value good food and being surrounded by family. Some of my best memories of my childhood are those times all my uncles, aunts and cousins got together at a local park for BBQ and swimming in the lake. My parents didn’t have a lot of money but we also never went without the necessities of life. I remember my parents loading all of us kids into the car and we would just take drives in the county and explore neighbouring towns. As a young child I always thought these were grand adventures. Looking back now my parents took us kids to enjoy the simple, free things that were local and we all had a great time because we were together.

As I have grown up and gone through many challenges and heart ships and now getting closer to my golden years I have come to realise what really matters and how important it is to take pleasure in the small moments of everyday.

My goal of this website is to help those who visit to see pleasure and value in the everyday and live with a more grateful heart.

So thank you for visiting and please visit often as I will continue to grow this website and have weekly blogs, recipes and more travel itineraries for you to explore.

Enjoy!
